“Advanced Cache plugin error/Files appear to be missing or out of place. Please re-install plugin or remove /home/../public_html/../wp-content/advanced-cache.php”
This Advanced Cache plugin error I got in past, I got an issue in WordPress. Actually, I was trying to recover my all files and folders of public_html folder. Because a brute force attack was happened sometimes before in all my WordPress websites.
At the time when I was uploading the same files in my web hosting server back. I got this Advanced Cache plugin error while accessing the admin panel of WordPress.
This Advanced Cache plugin error comes because of your http://wordpress.orgWordpress cache plugin. So now I am giving you the tips that how can you resolve this error?
Advanced Cache plugin error-STEP 1:
Disable the page Cache Effect.
• Go to General>Settings
• When you will scroll down the page you will found the page cache options section. Uncheck the page cache if checked.
• Then save all settings.
Advanced Cache plugin error-STEP 2:
Deactivate and Delete the plugin
• Go to Plugins>Installed Plugins and deactivate the plugin.
Advanced Cache plugin error-STEP 3:
Remove the files by use the FTP client and C panel
NOTE: Before removes any file or folder from your web server. Backup them into your local machine.
• Browse your wp-content folder and delete the following files and folders
Advanced Cache plugin error-STEP 4:
Finally Check .htaccess file
Open you .htaccess files generally, this file located in the root directory in your project folder.
You will found a part of code like this:
# BEGIN W3TC Browser Cache
Header append Vary User-Agent env=!dont-vary
# DEFLATE by extension
AddOutputFilter DEFLATE js css htm html xml
# END W3TC Browser Cache
Delete all this code and save you file.
NOTE: for beginners, I will recommend that please save this file to your local machine before making any changes.
